Call for Abstracts

Submissions of extended abstracts and workshops describing original research in line with thte conference themes are now invited for the 19th Computing and Control for the Water Industry Conference 2023.

 

Abstract deadline extended until midnight 15 March 2023

 

The Computing and Control for the Water Industry Conference attracts annually over 200 attendees from academic and industry working in the water sector.

The main conference objectives

  • • Provide opportunities for practitioners and researchers to discuss and disseminate hot topics and novel ideas on computing and control of urban water systems
  • • Examine and share achievements in computing and control of urban water systems in the context of big data and internet of everything
  • • Establish a platform for practitioners and researchers to encourage collaborations on worthwhile projects in the field of water
  • • Encourage discussion between researchers and practitioners about the future challenges of the water industry: the evolution of digital and smart water systems and strategies to cope with the effects of climate change

Submission

  • • Submissions must be completed using the online system (Oxford Abstracts). Submission via e-mail will not be processed.
  • • The submission system has a strucutred approach outlined in the submission instructions
  • Changes after the submission deadline such as re-uploading the extened abstract, are not possible. It is possible to change the presenter to one of the previously identified co-authors.
  • • To all authors: an agreement to present a paper at this conference carries an obligation to register and participate.
  • • The official Language of the congress is English.

Submission Instructions

All submissions are expected to be in the format of an extended abstract following the guidance below on structure. The details listed mirror the form to be completed on the submission system.

  • Title which will be used for the final program.
  • Keywords a maximum of 15
  • Highlights a total character limit of 450 is provided, please include 3-5 bullet points, each one having no more than 90 characters.
  • Purpose 300 words
  • Materials and Methods 300 words.
  • Results and Discussion 300 words
  • Conclusion and Perspectives 100 words
  • References

The extended abstract should also include appropriate figures which support the key message.

Anti-Plagarism Statement

  • • CCWI23 invites the presentation of new and orignal material and research in the range of topics outlined by the conference.
  • • CCWI23 takes plagiarism seriously, and any papers rejected for this reason will result in ALL authors of the paper being denied the opportunity to presenting any paper at the conference.

Selection process

  • • The Scientific Committee will consider all extended abstracts via the management system portal.
  • • Authors are expected to be notified by April 2023
  • • All abstracts will be reviewed by at least two (2) referees
  • • The abstracts must be relevant to one of the conference topics.
  • • Oral and poster persentations are treated equally.
